Alternative Routes

Interested in avoiding road construction and potential travel delays? Here is a helpful hint on how to arrive in our valley with minimum delay. If you are coming into Stillwater traveling on Highway 36, you will notice state signs which read "Alternative Route into Downtown Stillwater" - follow these signs. Also reference the highlight route on our map. This alternative route will bring you into the middle of downtown stillwater. Take advantage of this quick alternative route and plenty of FREE parking as you enter from the north.

When visiting Stillwater from the west, turn north on hwy 15 (Manning), turn east on HWY 96 and turn south on HWY 95. This will bring you directly into the north end of Stillwater.

Here are some important dates to remember for road construction season:  

Historic Stillwater Lift Bridge will be closed
August - mid October 2005 for restoration.
