Permit zones. The city council may, by resolution, designate areas within any city-owned parking lot as a permit parking area, and establish the number of permits to be issued and the fee for the permits. The chief of police and the public works director must mark each area with appropriate signs. It is unlawful for any vehicle to be parked in a permitted parking zone without a permit. - City Ordinance Sec. 51-2 Subd. 7.

Parking permits are available year-round for residents of Stillwater and employees of downtown businesses for $10 per month. Permits entitle the owner to park in any of the designated lots all day without having to move their car. Each permit is numbered and dated with valid dates. Permits are not interchangeable.

Permits must be displayed on the dash board with valid dates showing.

Designated lots are numbers 4, 5, 7, 11, 12, 13 and 14 and are shaded in magenta on the map below.

Note: Lot 7 - Permit parking in 50 spaces only as marked on site.
